Children’s Classic Reading List --
Recommending Reading List of Fairy Tales, Folk Tales, and Fables

This children’s classic reading list includes some must-have selections for your home library. These are great read-aloud books for younger children and great independent reading for upper elementary. They are especially appropriate for 3rd-5th grade students who love a good adventure story!

While some many be leary of some of the themes and elements of some of the stories, we think they are important as part of a child’s knowledge of great books. What better way to strike up a conversation about reality and fantasy!

These stories have sparked the imagination of children for decades. We love these stories and think your family will enjoy them too!
