K12 Review

by Katey
(Blanchard, ID)

Visitor Review: I have homeschooled for 4+ years. Was doing Charlotte Mason. Getting a bit burned out I decided to try K12 with our virtual school in Idaho.

It seems like a great idea. Everything is laid out in front of you. The computer tells you what to do daily. Even what pages in the books for the assignments.

That said...there is A LOT of work. You need to be at a certain % by a certain time of the year. We started 2nd semester and we have to do minimum 60% of the work before moving up to the next grade. The projected end time for us is end of August.

We are to log learning time. We were allowed to watch educational videos or do projects hands on, even supplemental math projects...BUT we STILL had to do the daily assigned work on the computer....before the project would have been school for the day, not an add on.

This program is school at home.
