Switched on Schoolhouse Review: We Have Hated It and Loved it!
Visitor Switched on Schoolhouse Review: We first used SOS 6 years ago, for grades 5 and 6, Science and Language Arts.
It was the 2002 version and we all hated it, especially the kids. It
would grade things wrong, when they were not, creating more work for me.
I swore we would never go back.
However, never say never,
right? I heard they had made many improvements and with 6 kids, 2 in
high school, I knew I needed something to help me.
We have now
been using it for 2 years and we only use the 2009 version or newer. I
use it for 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th grades. All my kids love it now
(Yes, the same ones who hated it before) and I enjoy the ease of grading
it.
We have had some networking issues, but technical support has been amazing at walking me through and always fixes it for us.
I
have no complaints and look forward to my younger children being able
to use this soon. I would just recommend staying away from their older
versions, as I think there were some glitches that are now resolved.
